If you have access to a piano, please check the interval between middle C and the first black key to the right of middle C. This a minor 2nd. If you are familiar with an old standard, “How Insensitive” The first two notes of the melody is a minor 2nd. Knowing little intervals and aquainting them with songs is a very good way to train your absolute pitch which absolutely can be aquired.

Singers,
I worked for close to thirty years in the music business along side of people like Dizzy Gilespie, Bob Hope, Liza Minnelli, The Four Seasons, Jack Jones, Gregory Hines, Brenda Lee, Jackie Wilson, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Billy Eckstein, Frankie Lane and on and on and on. I learned many little bits of information from each of these talented people. When it comes to intervals and vocal training my knowledge is engraved in stone. Here’s another one; from D above middle C back to middle C is a major 2nd. Are you familiar with the great Duke Ellington favorite, Satin Doll? The lyrics go: Cigarette holders which wig me, over her shoulder, she digs me, out cattin’ (not kattin’)my satin doll. The entire verse goes up and down on a major 2nd interval until satin doll, where it then becomes a minor 3rd down on the last two notes. Dig out these old standards and learn these intervals. They will absolutely train your absolute pitch which can be aquired at this link: <a href=”http://d25205d6cmcl7vd5wdz5z9oe9y.hop.clickbank.net/” target=”_top”>Click Here!</a>

Another great old song recorded by Ray Charles is Ruby. “They say, Rub-y” is a major 2nd interval. I’m sure these songs mentioned here can be heard on Limewire. Listen to them! Learn to recognize them in songs that you may sing.

A great jazz saxaphonist, James Moody who I had the privelage to work with at the old La Gals club in Baltimore in 1966 taught me to recognize many intervals in standard songs. It is my esteem pleasure to pass them on to aspiring singers. Singing Power, which I teach can only be gained using one and only one method and if you’ll go to my website by clicking on the Title above, you’ll be well on your way to achieving the technique that will carry you through a lifetime of vocal performances with improved singing power, increased vocal range and voice projection. It can only be achieved by certain physical exercises which will support your diaphragm and improve your lung capacity. Til next time.

As far back as I can remember, it has been common knowledge that one can develop relative pitch through the proper ear training , but absolute or perfect pitch was a talent that you had to be born with. Even today there are some universities around the world that teach their students that absolute pitch can’t be learned. You’re either born with it or not. What if I told you that this age old theory is absolute BS!

Stop reading if you need convincing and go to http://p4.hostingprod.com/@singingpower.com/ and click on the “click here link” and it will take you to a site that will teach you how to develop absolute or perfect pitch.

If you did go to http://p4.hostingprod.com/@singingpower.com/ and followed the click here link, you arrived at a website where this age old theory has been disproved. At first I was skeptical about that. I knew musicians who had it, but I knew many more that didn’t. One night at the Golden 40 Inn in Joppatowne Maryland, many years ago, I spotted Mrs. Dotti Tim sitting in the audience. I was about to open at the Golden Horn the following week and Dotti who was playing keyboards for alto saxaphonist Teddy Bell and drummer Billy Mohicka came by to hear me and learn the songs I was currently doing. After the set I went to talk with her. I began telling her the keys of the songs that I wanted to do with the Teddy Bell Trio. She immediately stopped me and told me that she knew all the keys to every song she had just heard me sing.

I asked her how on earth could you possibly know that when you weren’t even up on stage. She said, “I’ve got big ears.” I thought that was amazing that she could hear the keys while sitting in the audience. When we opened the following week, she was right. She knew every key and every song I called. Dotti had perfect or absolute pitch. Visit the website, ” Pure Pitch,” by clicking above and just like you can develop singing power, range improvement and voice projection, you can also learn absolute or perfect pitch.

Did you ever have friends who haven’t heard you sing for quite a while call you and ask where you were performing that evening so they could come and hear you? Maybe from over singing you might be suffering from tired voice. When you’re 3 weeks into my techniques for developing singing power, you can pretty much dispell any fears you might have. Your old friends will never hear you any better and you’re gonna’ have a good night. Why? Because my method of training your voice will instill confidence in you that you’ll have an edge to superceed all expectations. I don’t look like a youngster anymore. Time has a way of robing you of your looks. But my voice is still within me if I ever should need it as evident by the karaoke tracks found at http://p4.hostingprod.com/@singingpower.com/services.html.

Power in your voice is achieved only one way fellow vocalists. And that’s through a system of just two physical exercises that will expand your lungs, and harden your abdominals. You can sing scales until the cows come home but singing scales will never strengthen your lungs and that’s what is most necessary to achieve singing power. Just like depositing money into your bank account, these two exercises will deposit a lifetime of ability in the form of endurance and strength into your physical bank account that you will be able to call on for years to come.

Please, don’t wait until you’re past your prime years of life and then suddenly write me and tell me that you’re now ready to employ my singing technique. Take action now while you’re still young. Your present age is not a barometer for deciding how physically fit you may be. If you sing a lot and abuse your voice frequently, you need to write me and let me guide you to a new you. There’s no doubt that I can help you if you want the help. You may sing your butt off right now, but will you be able to do it in ten years? You will be able to do it in twenty five years, if you employ the method I can show and teach you. Believe me fellow singers and speakers, the years have a way of coming and going faster than you will believe. You’ll realize this fact the older you get. Take action now and sing forever.

In 1967 I was master of ceremonies at the Club Venus in Towson Maryland. I had on 4 seperate occasions been privelaged to introduce the Temptations. By 4 occasions I mean the Temptations appeared at the club four times while I held that position. I sat no more than 25 feet from the stage with a microphone, while I worked the overhead flood lights around the stage. I watched the group perform 2 shows per night , 6 nights per week, so I saw 48 shows. Needless to say, I got to know Melvin Franklin, David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks etc.

One night a new comic was to open the show for the Temps. Now I can’t for the life of me recall this gentleman’s name, but it was my job to ask the acts how they wanted me to introduce them to the crowd. So I said hello to the fellow and told him that I was the MC and from behind him came the very deep resonent bass voice of Mel Franklin of the Temps announcing that I was also a mighty fine baritone singer. I thanked Melvin and told him that he had no idea how good he made me feel by saying that. He came over to me and said, “Well I mean it.” He then told me that they as a group considered me the most talented singer they’d heard as they traveled around the country. Needless to say I was on cloud nine after Melvin told me that.

I recall Melvin complimenting me on the power in my voice and he asked how I learned to sing so well. I explained that I was an avid bodybuilder and took very good care of myself and I never smoked. He then went on and told me that the entire group to a man had discussed my talents during their travels. They complimented me on my intonation, my range and my soul. I was singing with the house orchestra during the intermissions between the shows and I had to more or less sing pretty standards and showtunes. I couldn’t sing the Ray Charles, James Brown, Little Willie John, Jackie Wilson or the rythum and blues tunes that were really my forte’ at the time, but Melvin told me that he and the Temps could hear the tear in my voice which translated into soul. Those guys really elevated my confidence for the rest of my life.

What the Temptations heard in me was the result of my technique of developing my diaphragm through the proper exercises. At the time, I had no idea which movements were responsible for my singing power. It wasn’t until several years later when I really narrowed it down that I zeroed in on the method responsible. If you want to gain an edge in your vocal performance, please visit me at

and sign in with your name and email address and allow me to lay out the game plan that undoubtedly worked for me 42 years ago and most definitely will guide you to a more successful singing future. You have nothing to lose, but a whole lot to gain. I’d be honored to help you to reach the plateau that I never achieved.

“Only the foolish learn from experience — the wise learn from the experience of others.”— Attributed to
Romanian folk wisdom by Rolf Hochhuth.

So if you were going to do something, would you like to be able to benefit from the experience
of others? To have them share with you what worked for them?

What methods, ideas and attitudes they used to be successful?

Singers, you can learn from me. I was in the music business performing 5 & 6 nights per week from the ages 15 to 44. Along the way I picked up a load of tricks and information to help and preserve my singing talents. But one technique that really allowed me to rise to the occasion every night, I will be honored to share with you. Please go to http://p4.hostingprod.com/@singingpower.com/contactus.html and fill in your name and email address and let me help you preserve your singing talents in stone. After employing my program for only 3 weeks you will feel a new vigor in your singing abilities. We’re talking 20 to 30 minutes every other day for no more than 3 months to install into your physical vocal bank the endurance and strength you’ll be able to rely on for the rest of your life.

Sincerely, Marty

Singing scales will improve your ear and your ability to recognize intervals between notes, but this necessary practice will hardly strengthen your singing voice. To improve vocal strength and endurance, let’s understand here and now that there is only one way to do it. And that is through physical exercise.

You must work your diaphragm to increase your breathing and of course, your lungs. You must work your abdominals, legs and pectoral muscles. There are two exercises that must be done over at least a ninety day period for your singing power, your range and voice projection to improve.

Hi Marty here! Believe me, you won’t look like you play football unless you want to. But to look that way you will need to do far more than what I suggest in my course of exercises. The routine that I sanction will, without a doubt work for you as long as you do the exercises the correct way. In my course, I show you exactly how I did this. And I have to be honest here! I didn’t realize that these exercises were building singing power or improved range and voice projection until about two months into the program. When I narrowed down my entire workout, I discovered which excercises were benefiting my singing. Through all these years since then, I never actually talked about it to anyone other than my spouse.

I listened to many a talented singer on the tube and realized that the majority of them in ten to fifteen years will lose what they now have. I thought WOW! I wish that I could speak to this one or that one so I could help them. And I really could help them. So PLEASE, JUST DO YOURSELF A TREMENDOUS FAVOR AND GO TO MY SITE AND SIGN UP. http://p4.hostingprod.com/@singingpower.com/ If you listen to me, and do exactly what I tell you, you will absolutely increase your lung capacity, increase your singing power, increase your range, project your voice better, sing naturally from the diaphragm without thinking about it and kiss laryngitis problems goodbye.

Deep within your psyche lies a talent that you've been blind to if you're a singer. It's the ability to reach notes that you've strained to hit in the past. But not now! No, not any more! Because now after employing the right physical exercises, your singing power has improved, your vocal projection is greater than before because now, you've learned to automatically sing from your diaphragm and now, people are beginning to hear more of you. Now you make them turn and watch you sing. Now they're talking about you and it's all positive. You've arrived! They now say that you sing your ass off!

If you’re a singer, let me explain how you can improve your vocal strength and range and keep the clarity of your voice clean without the chances of becoming hoarse during and after your performance. The method I employed many years ago has allowed me to maintain my abilities now, even in my late 60′s. On my website, you can listen to a few karaoke tracks that I did recently right on my PC. Then go ahead and listen to records I did back in 69 on the same site. http://p4.hostingprod.com/@singingpower.com/ Click on About us or Services to hear me and you can view my entire history, ha! what I can remember of it at my age, by clicking on About me and others.

Now, I won’t at all dispute the fact that my style, northern soul is a little outdated but you can hear that there’s no doubt that I can project my voice with the best of them. I’d be honored to teach you to do the same thing using my technique. Normally, if you’re like most singers, you can employ your diaphragm while you concentrate on doing so, but there is a natural tendency to sing from the throat. Throat singers are far more susceptable to laryngitis than those of us who automatically sing from the diaphragm. If you’d like to learn to sing from your gut automatically, without concentrating on it, I can teach you how to do exactly that. You know, where you should go from here!

Walk to the microphone with new confidence if you employ the method that I will explain in detail. My game plan will bestow within your psyche the automatic ability to bring forth a new talent available within your subconscious mind that has lain dormant due to a lack of effort and knowledge. Now you will sing with power and easily reach notes your were straining to hit only weeks ago. This is the new singing you who now sings his or her ass off. That's the greatest compliment a singer can get. "Man, you sing your ass off!" When musicians and other entertainers said that to me, it was like a drug. The only drug I ever needed. They'll be saying it to you, if you listen to me.

In 1965 after singing Chances Are by Johnny Mathis. “Marty, let’s do Think by James Brown?” a band member suggested. ” Ok, let me switch to my James Brown voice” And I did quite effectively. Then we followed that up with Ray Charles ” Sticks and Stones” and then Jackie Wilson’s “Lonely Teardrops” and on and on and on, one song after another. Then someone in the crowd asked for Johnny Mathis again and by then my voice was getting hoarse.

Then I remember the next day embarking on an exercise routine that suddenly without even knowing I was doing it, I began singing from my diaphragm rather than from my throat. Now, whenever I wanted to bring my vocal from out of my diaphragm, as long as I concentrated, I could do it. But suddenly, I was singing from my diaphragm without realizing that I was doing so.

About a week later, the guys in the band were turning my mic down and asking me what I’d been doing lately to make my voice stronger. ” I don’t know other than just exercising every two days,” I answered.

They said that whatever it was, keep doing it, because your voice is clearer and you’re hitting your high notes with greater ease than you were a few weeks ago.

If you’d like to learn the method that increased my vocal strength and range and allowed me to project my voice so much easier, you’re listening to the right guy.

I sang 5 and 6 nights per week, 48 weeks per year, 5 to 7 songs per set and 5 sets per night and half of the songs I did were in the tenor range while I was a baritone. I only wish I were young enough to compete on American Idol. I can’t! I’m way too old! But since you’re reading this, most likely, you can. I’d love to be in your shoes. If you want to reach the top, visit my site and just do it, so I can be in your audience applauding your new found abilities
